Mrs C: This week has flown by, after returning from London I felt tired but incredibly motivated. My training and diet has been on point and I am seeing the results of my efforts. Each week my body is adapting and I am happy with the progress. I was invited this week to compete at Glifting in April which is a female only federation but sadly it clashes with another commitment so I have had to pass on it this time. I do hope to compete in their tattooed physique and transformation class in the near future so watch this space for that. We are also looking into the possibility of entering a second competition shortly after the Pure Elite but nothing is set in stone as yet. I got very excited about ordering my bikini and have put my deposit down to secure a beautiful couture design by Veronique Rees (La Diva Design). Competition bikinis are not cheap but a lot of work that goes into them and they are one off custom made pieces and I am as excited about seeing it as I was about my wedding dress!!
Mr C: The week’s flown by for me too – I’m still busy with a lot of travelling for work, so have struggled to fit in enough gym time and haven’t been 100% on meal prep. Luckily, Mrs C has been keeping the fridge stocked with protein sources so I’ve been able to throw something together for work fairly quickly. I’ve not binged, as such, though some of my choices haven’t been the best. I’ve been able to hit a weight session for every body part in the gym this week, though some sessions have had to be shorter because of the time issues. To counter that, and to play into the bulking phase a bit, I’ve gone for heavier weights and less sets. That’s been a bit of a new thing for me as I’ve never really seen how far I can push my weights – I think that’s a bit of a fear of picking up an injury to be honest. However, where I’ve not done so well is definitely cardio. I’ve only managed one session in the week, where I should be getting 3 really. Lastly, water….I should really be drinking more. A lot more.
So, next week, more water, more cardio, and more planning!
