Mrs C: This week is challenging for most people trying to stay healthy and stick to eating clean. I am no exception!! I have eaten exceptionally well all week…. until Christmas eve and then there has been no counting macros, no weighing food and no stressing out!! I haven’t binged or gorged myself on rubbish and I have continued to train hard but I have allowed myself a few little Christmas treats like a mince pie and a chocolate orange knowing full well that these things will be strictly off the menu until after my competitions. I am excited now that the prep diet and plan is a week away but enjoying the last few days with my family while life is normal has been good for me.
Mr C: Enjoying a decent stretch off work now, and the calm before the storm! Christmas has been great, and I’ve enjoyed it without much major restriction to be honest. My point of view on it right now is that from January onwards, diet and exercise will take over life and I can’t afford to back off at all, so I’m trying to get my mind in the right place now by enjoying life a bit before then! I’m feeling pretty happy that the balance is about right though, and I’m not going to crazy! So, the next week is a case of eating fairly well, continuing training, and getting ready for the madness to begin!!!
