Mr C: Wow, tough week.. The new plan is hard going. There’s quite a bit more food, which is nice at times, but we’ve really had to earn it! The training is tough, especially the cardio. We have a fitness test and a long cardio circuit mid-week and they are both absolutely brutal.. So everything aches quite badly at the moment, but in a good way – it feels as though it’s doing what it should do! Food-wise it’s been a bit easier to stick to, having more food and more carbs to fuel the workouts. Work-wise it’s been very busy recently for me, so I am struggling to fit everything in, and other projects/hobbies have certainly had to take a back seat. I knew that would be the case, but it is still quite irritating! Next week I have another overnight stay and long meeting for work, which always makes training and food more difficult, but I’ll manage it somehow. In terms of how my body is reacting, both my trainer and Mrs C have noticed big changes in the last week or 2. I have noticed it myself actually. I guess that makes it a little easier to stick with things, because it is definitely working! So next week, more of the same!!
Mrs C: Well its been the first week of a new meal plan and training. Its great to have some extra food and to have a change but I have found the new training very challenging. Its very intense and I have got to the end of the week feeling totally exhausted and my body hurts everywhere! The focus of this plan for me is mainly on my legs and I feel that they just haven’t had a break at all. Between training them specifically and using them to do cardio they ache from top to bottom. But if it gets me results I am happy to power through and I definitely feel leaner in my upper body this week. My daughter was poorly at the start of the week and off school with a nasty temperature and chest infection which made training a bit more difficult to fit in but with Mr C helping out I managed to juggle it all. However looking after a sick child made the week that little bit more of a challenge! I am going back on nights for a couple of weeks now so that is going to make the tiredness feel even worse but it is easier for me to get training sessions in when I am on night shifts so I have to see the positives… not to mention the extra money!!
