We are Mr and Mrs C and are very excited to be launching our blog. You can read all about us in the “about” section but we thought we would give our readers a little bit of our history and what can be expected of this blog in the future on our very first entry!
As a couple we have managed to totally transform our bodies from fat and lazy to ripped and fit! In 2010 we were both overweight, unfit and unhappy. We made the decision as a couple to lose weight and achieved so much more than we bargained for.
The weight loss journey took us around 18 months. We followed a slimming club plan and gradually increased our exercise until Mr C had lost 4 stone in weight and Mrs C had lost 6. We got married in the autumn of 2014 and after the wedding focused our fitness goals and efforts on getting into an athletic shape. We hired a personal trainer to put us through our paces and to write us a nutritional plan. We entered a body transformation challenge to give us some focus and gave us a date to reach our targets. We had 17 weeks to get into the best shape possible, and we smashed it!!!
We are both now in the best shape of our lives and plan to continue to build on our success and negotiate our way through the fitness industry. We have learned a lot during our weight loss journey and our transformation challenge and want to help and inspire others to make positive changes. We understand and know how difficult it is to make the changes necessary to change your body and we had several mishaps along the way. But we have learned from our mistakes and can pass what we have learned on to you!!
We are not personal trainers or nutrition specialists and although we may pursue the appropriate training in the future at the present time we cannot give specific dietary or training advice. What we can do though is give generalised tips, provide motivation and support, and show what has worked for us. We are still very much learning ourselves and are always trying out new things.. some good, some not so good.
Our story has recently generated a large amount of media interest and we have soon realised that there are many people out there struggling to juggle the delicate balance of normal life and fitness and wellbeing. We understand this very much. We both work in stressful jobs outside of the fitness industry, we have a mortgage, a daughter and all the usual responsibilities that come with being a grown up but we have learned ways of fitting it all in and maintaining balance. Preparation really is key and we will talk about meal preps, planning your training and dealing with friends and family who may not be supportive of your goals.
Being MASSIVE food addicts we totally get how hard it can be to stick to a meal plan when are surrounded by temptation but we have learned ways of dealing with these issues and found healthy ideas to satisfy the sweet tooth!
Bottom line is that we want you to succeed. We have gained so much from this epic transformation and our marriage has blossomed. We want to help other men, women and couples achieve this too, and have a happier healthier life.
